New video highlights Apeldoorn’s CityLoops demonstration actions

Circularity is about more than just the Ladder of Lansink; it’s about the transition of human behavior. That is one of the main things Apeldoorn has learned from CityLoops, explain demonstration managers Sander Lubberhuzen and Adriaan Hellemans in a video on Apeldoorn’s CityLoops demonstration actions.

In the video Hellemans puts the spotlight on Bio-waste, explaining that Apeldoorn is working with bio-char and bokashi, two materials that improve the soil. Furthermore the city is asking itself whether it can make paper out of grass and how it can best reduce the litter along the roads.

Lubberhuizen focuses on CDW and explains that Apeldoorn is making new bricks out of old bricks, These new bricks are almost 100% circular and are used for the construction of a new road. To work succesfully on such circular construction projects, it is important to match supply and demand in the early stages of the project.
